GENERAL APPROACH TO JOBURG

Come in on N3 from Durban
When you get relatively close to Joburg you will pass through Alberton on the N3
Just after that, make sure you avoid an off ramp signed "Johannesburg N17" - this takes you to nowhere!
Continue on the N3 to Pretoria (you haven't got to Joburg yet but that's what the sign says)
Continue on the N3 through the Geldenhuys and Giloolies interchanges (Gilollies is the one which has an off ramp to the airport)
Carry straight on with the N3 and cross over the highway between Joburg & Pretoria (M1 into Joburg and N1 to Pretoria)
(This is the Buccleugh Interchange. At this point, just to confuse matters, the N3 becomes the N1, ie the N1 from Pretoria does a turn west, and the N3 changes to the N1 South. 
The next off ramp after the Buccleugh Interchange is Rivonia Road
Take this off ramp
At the end of the ramp turn left into Rivonia road
Go up Rivonia Road for about 2kms, crossing several intersections & traffic lights
You need to turn right into 7th Avenue which is just after MacDonalds  on your left (you will have crossed over 12th, 11th, etc)
300m after going into 7th, it takes a bend to the left and becomes Coleraine Drive
At the next lights take a right into Bryanston Drive (no road sign – follow the sign for Woolworths)
Go down Bryanston Drive, cross the river and take the right fork up the other side
Pass a small shopping centre called Riverside
Pass a Shell garage right next door
200m further up turn right into Devonshire Avenue
Go through the security booms
Take the first left into George Street
Proceed half a km to No 16 on left
